The Matte Velvet Pare foundation is very easy to work with! It can exist applied with your fingers, a foundation brush or a damp Beautyblender. It doesn't look streaky when I utilise it with my Make Up For Always #108 castor (my skin looks even and smoothen), just the foundation looks slightly amend on my nose if I use a Beautyblender. I similar to apply information technology with my fingers likewise, when I'm in a bustle.
I would say that the coverage is medium, but buildable to full. You tin can also sheer it downwards with a damp Dazzler Blender, if you prefer sheer coverage. The product dries down to a beautiful semi-matte end and I love how it blurs my pores!
The formula is very thick and creamy, but it doesn't feel heavy on the peel. Information technology doesn't dry out my peel either, but if your skin is dry or dehydrated I would suggest to use an hydrating primer.
Speaking of primers, I had groovy results with the
Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primerand the
Brand Up For Always Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer. The Make Up For E'er primer made the foundation look smoother, while the Urban Decay primer fabricated my skin look more matte.

Unfortunately, this foundation isn't mattifying enough for me. My peel is already shiny after ii hours, while my favorite mattifying foundation stays matte for upward to four hours. The foundation still looks slap-up afterward 10 hours (if I apply a blotting sheet every few hours) but information technology looks very patchy and cakey on my nose.
I tried it half dozen times so far ; past itself, with two different primers, with and without pulverisation, and with my makeup setting spray. And I ever have the same bug.
But I have to say that the weather is particularly hot and humid this week and my pare is very oily, then the staying ability should be much ameliorate on those of you with combination or normal skin.
The Matte Velvet Peel foundation doesn't oxidize on me, but it dries much darker in one case on the skin! I included this photo from Sephora's website so you tin see what I'chiliad talking about.
Also, I think it'south worth noting that the shades in the Matte Velvet Peel Foundation are not equivalent to the ones in the
Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation.
Out of the v shades I received, only ane of them (Y205) is the aforementioned color in both formulas. All the other shades are darker. I would highly recommend to try it in store showtime, and allow the product dry for about 10 minutes to see the true color.
Swatches on fair skin (NC10-NC15)
Y205 Alabaster is lighter than NW10 and has pinkish undertones.
Y215 Yellow Alabaster is darker than NC10 (simply lighter than NC15) and has yellow undertones.
Y225 Marble is a bit lighter than NC25 and has bully yellowish undertones.
Y255 Sand Beige is slightly lighter than NC25 and has yellow undertones.
Y315 Sand is similar to NC35 and has keen xanthous.
